ahhh...I remember this now. I am the HF....again.

On another note, just got assigned a new client by the firm.

Dude has a ring from 2002.

I phuking hate him. Might have to ensure he gets audited.

Eckstein?
Nope, a pitcher. He didn't hurt us in the Series. He was part of the moundshattery in Game 5 at PacBell. I bought tickets to games 6 and 7 in Anaheim and hopped on a plane. I sold my ticket to game 7.

Most depressing day of my baseball life. And this phuker has a ring.

One of those guys was born on the exact day I was born. Interesting…

We just got Stripling for 2/25 with an opt out. Another solid get by FZ. Wood is now the long guy.

I spoke Stripling into existence this morning; Correa this afternoon.

ahem, BRING ME CONFORTO

I wonder....

I was never comfortable with him as a FA signing, but I defer to FZ on this.

I hope he does well, and he is a fly ball pitcher so Oracle should help.
Huh?

Well researched. We should put together an online debate. tzill vs tzill.

They'll both quit 2 minutes in and both people watching will go elsewhere.

Yeah, I remember hoping we'd get him but that was before I looked at his numbers.

He's an extreme fly ball pitcher. I think there's still a decent chance he'll be OK as a back end guy of the rotation, because Oracle will play to his strength.

I may have overreacted a bit -- Yankass Stadium is the worst possible place for him to pitch in some ways.

I still think he's the #6 guy at this point. Hopefully, he'll prove me wrong.

I looked up his splits last year to see how he did there since he was a member of the Blue Jays so he surely would have pitched a few games there. Nope. Not one game was started by him with the Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium in 2022. Seems the Blue Jays (and you) knew something that the Giants didn't.

On the radio Krukow said he was like 0-5 for his career at Yankee stadium and he was puzzled why the Giants started him there

I wonder what Krukow was looking at because he had 1 start there, with the Blue Jays, in 2021 and none in 2022. He made 1 start and 1 relief appearance there while with the Dodgers. At least, that is what I'm seeing on his splits in BBRef.

:noidea:

Maybe I heard wrong on the stat but he did say he wondered why they started him there

It was surprising to me to see that the Blue Jays, even with the season he had, kept him from pitching there. It seems that they likely knew that, even with his newfound success, he wouldn't be an ideal starter in that stadium.
