Gattis is reportedly in Houston for a physical. No other details on who may be coming back. I know the Braves have been interested in Dexter Fowler in the past.
The prospect with an impossible to pronounce last name was rated 43rd on Baseball America's top prospect list. Hard thrower from what I've heard. The other pitcher probably won't amount to much and I haven't heard anything about the third base prospect.
I gotta tell you, we better be world beaters in 2017 or I want John Hart's head on a stake.
I hate losing Gattis's power. Even though he was going to suck at left field and couldn't hit anything other than a fastball. An AL team is the right place for him.
4:57pm: The deal is not only not complete, but includes one or more players who have yet to be reported, a source tells Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle (via Twitter).
3:38pm: If a snag occurs, the Rangers are next in line to strike a deal for Gattis, Bowman tweets.
2:03pm: The deal is not yet complete, caution Sherman (via Twitter) and MLB.com’s Mark Bowman (via Twitter), with the former saying the terms are settled upon pending physical and the latter warning there is still a chance that Gattis could be moved to another club.
These prospects better pan out. The Braves ended up with a shitty TV deal so they don't have the cash a lot of other teams have to spend so prospects is the only way to go right now. If they miss, the Braves are gonna suck for a long while
I like the prospects Atlanta got back on this one. Next year will be very interesting. The pitching should be better than last year and maybe they will have a lineup that doesn't strike out all the time.
