After Dixon had a head-to-head collision with TCU wide receiver Trevone Boykin, Dixon was penalized for targeting.

But what had Patterson perturbed the most was that Dixon remained on the Baylor bench for several minutes after the penalty was called. It sparked a nasty cross-field argument between Patterson and Baylor coach Art Briles said.

After the game, Patterson never accused Briles or Dixon by name, but it was obvious who he was talking about.

The TCU coach even brought up an incident in Waco earlier this season where Dixon was arrested after an altercation at a Baylor apartment that has led to pending charges on Baylor’s defensive captain.

“Here’s the bottom line,” Patterson said. “No. 6 beats a guy up at the beginning of the season and he doesn’t get suspended or anything. He takes a shot. I want him kicked out.The head coach comes across the field to me, OK? There’s a guy laughing in front of the cameras on the sidelines. That’s not what I call class. I said this before and I'll say it again. Baylor University wanted to turn their football team around for one reason. Money. The overwhelming odds say for Baylor to turn it around this fast is that you either cheat your ass off are you take the good players that no else wants are can't get because of academic standards. Maybe both. Is it possible that Art Briles turned it around honestly and on the same level playing field as everyone else, yes, but not likely.
