Kinda sounds like he got all tongue tied. Sounds guilty to me.
Is any pitcher clean?
MLB officially informed teams on Tuesday that the crackdown of foreign substances for pitchers will begin on Monday, June 21.
This confirms reporting from Monday night. Those who are caught with foreign substances -- ranging from the common sunscreen/rosin combination to the more extreme Spider Tack -- will be subject to a 10-game suspension (with pay), with longer suspensions for repeat offenders. Club employees will also face discipline if they are found to have participated.
This is as it should be. I've never liked the idea of allowing a team to replace a player that is suspended for any reason.I just heard on the Cardinal broadcast that if a pitcher is suspended, the team cannot replace him on the roster. That might hurt a bit.
