Those are great, I need to instal another gauge on mine right under the meat grate, all I got is one on the top but it's not where it needs to be
I don't have any gauge on the actual drum. I use a maverick wireless thermometer instead. For a "quality" dial thermometer you'd spend at least $30-50, so I passed and got the maverick which was barely more and came with a free set of bear paws on amazon. Haha. I like the maverick because it has two probes and a wireless receiver that you can put in your pocket. That, along with the Party-Q, I've got enough things telling me what my meat and bbq temp is that I can't justify buying a manual dial thermometer. Can't beat that with a stick.

Still trying to figure out a good balance for mixing in my wood for a steady light smoke, but I'll get there.

Beings as it's going to be a hot one tomorrow, I'm not so sure crockpot food really fits the day.

That's more of a fall type of thing en sech.

This fall is kinda gonna suck.

I have sworn off booze, smoking, (cigarettes too) and fast food or crappy food of any kind.

Sometimes ya just gotta listen to what your body is telling you and mine was telling me "fuck you".

And no, I have not sworn off fapping.

I got that bag of apple at the depot, it was a pretty big bag and looked real clean of bark. I normally get it from Sportsman's as they have a wide variety however I rarely use anything other than apple or pecan wood

I get mine at Academy sports. It's nice logs in stead of the chip stuff you get at Walmart. The apple is expensive though so I get pecan. Had an apple tree get hit by lightning in my back yard about 4 years ago. Lasted me two years and I did a lot of smoking. It's the best but the pecan is $14 for a 1.5 cube bag and apple is $30 so pecan works just fine.
