The commitment to running on 1st down is sheer madness. The Lions so many times today (and every week) they put Stafford in a tough spot by forcing balance.

Throwing the ball away is the same as a Lions run attempt, but at least Stafford would have a chance to make a positive play.

AA hasn't gotten any stronger with almost 3 full years in an NFL weightroom. You would think the guy would be able to break a few tackles by now.

It seems to me they looked a lot better earlier in the season. There's just no excuse for being this bad against the run all of the sudden, especially against these teams that don't have much of a passing attack. It looks like just a lack of effort. There's no pursuit. Whatever it is they'd better get it fixed soon.

The only excuse for this week is that the Bears opened up the playbook for Tribisky for the first time all year so many of the plays were not on tape so they were fooled often.

I hate to say it out loud but we probably have the best secondary in football right now (rubs rabbit foot to avoid bad luck). Lucky if we have 2 or 3 keepers in the front 7 though. They need to get to work in the offseason.

Doh, that's right...I forgot all about him being out. He still plugs up that middle pretty well. That definitely isn't happening very often lately.

A lot of Ngata haters will never admit that. However with him this season the run defense gave up 74.6 YPG. Without him they were at 136.8 YPG before yesterday’s putrid performance.

All in good fun. I know all of the big Lions fans at this bar, and some of us are actually going to that Saturday afternoon game together in December.

As far as Brown, he unfortunately had a lot of major injuries follow him. Was a big part of that "Miracle in the Desert" game vs Denny Green as well. He actually tore his ACL in that one, and then in Week 1 of the following year again. Was kind of it for the guy.

But I mean... when you do this. You're kind of a legend.
