The D line rotation has been without logic. A'shawn out on running plays but in on passing plays. Zettel fooled half a dozen times on runs. This is basic stuff. Need to get their shit together and watch some tape.

It seems to me they looked a lot better earlier in the season. There's just no excuse for being this bad against the run all of the sudden, especially against these teams that don't have much of a passing attack. It looks like just a lack of effort. There's no pursuit. Whatever it is they'd better get it fixed soon.

Whitehead doesn't completely suck, that's my positivity on this topic.

He's been playing linebacker most of his life. Timid shouldn't be involved. He isn't physical which is a problem since he isn't a nickel back. I just can't envision him being a building block for this franchise. But rosterable seems likely.

I watched a little tiny RB shake him off a couple weeks back. Quite frankly, I was shocked. Davis had both his hands and arms around him. One on one. It had nothing do with a read or instincts. Just straight up missed tackle.

The commitment to running on 1st down is sheer madness. The Lions so many times today (and every week) they put Stafford in a tough spot by forcing balance.

Throwing the ball away is the same as a Lions run attempt, but at least Stafford would have a chance to make a positive play.
