I ultimately come away from this game feeling like we're going to win a lot more games this season than anyone could have predicted.
The energy and pace were there. The secondary scoring was there. The defense and goaltending were there too. Clearly the top line was just off a touch, but that worries none of us.
I do think the penalty by Medvedev and the goal to follow could've both been easily avoided and then we possibly win the game in regulation. Mason had a fine game overall, but that's a weak goal to give up from a bad angle and what the hell is Medvedev doing holding two sticks? That's like dragging a bag of pot from your vehicle while driving by a police station.
I agree Maverick426h on your points. Mason was playing so well in regulation and has some massive saves that help to get us to the overtime. Then that cheesy goal he gave up in the 3-on-3 just boggled my mind. Don't know what Medvedev was doing though. Strange indeed.
