I know he's a junior but did Wisconsin Center Frank Kaminsky play his way into the NBA lottery?

I say it's hard to find eight players who will make a bigger difference.

I believe Decker was considered the only potential lottery player on the team but now most mock drafts will have Frank the Tank as a top 20 player after the end of the season. I believe both players will stay with UW for at least one more year.

Kaminsky is as good as gone. As for him staying "for at least one more yr" uhhhhh , well he IS a Jr. Anyway the kid is a helluva player and cannot walk away from what is going to be put in front of him. Love watching him play and would love to see him stay in school but I can't see that happening.

Just might see him go to the NBA and be picked up as a strong forward. Don't think he has the strength to deal with the centers in that league. That said, I think he will make a great forward in the NBA. Hope Miami gets him.

No way in hell he'd be a lottery pick. Most likely, he'll be ranked in the 25-35 range. It's really up to him i he wants to come back. It's clear that he can improve under Bo Ryan (that's the difference between him and Marcus Smart), and we return six of our other eight rotation guys. He'd be the best player on the preseason #1 team. That's an awful lot to pass up for a late 1st selection.

If he comes back I could definetly see Wisky be Preseason #1

if Bucky takes the NC? he's gone.
anything less? he should stay, cop a degree and take his game a notch or two higher next season.

I agree with that assessment completely. If Wisconsin wins the NC, I can see Frank going to the NBA. At the moment, I see him being a mid-first round draft choice.

The one area where I feel Frank needs to improve on is strength. He doesn't seem like he's strong enough to be a big man in the NBA. Dwight Howard would completely annihilate him if he made the leap now. I think he should stay one more year because if he can improve this much from his sophomore to junior year, I'd love to see where he can take it next year. He could evolve into a lottery pick next year.

Arizona defended the guy as well could be expected with undersized guys. With that said, Frank would under achieve early in the NBA. Kid should stay in school and finish up next year.

He's a pretty interesting story...he's one of those blessed kids that could handle the ball (I think he was a point guard or could at least play point guard when he was in high school) then decided to grow like 6" in one year and all of the sudden he was a 7' center that could play inside or out...he will be a hell of an NBA player...imagine him improving his deep shot a little more (it's already pretty damn good)....he's an American Dirk Nowitzki

That's what they were saying on tv last night...being that he is a badger and all does anyone think that if he does go to the draft he immediately will come out of the closet or wait a few years???

Don't compare Kaminsky to Dirk.. He has like a fraction of Nowitski's lateral quickness and athleticism..

Adreian Payne stock is sky high. He does it all. Wonder where they are projecting him. I always hear about Parker, Wiggins and Embid but Payne has to be right there too.

Off topic, but am I the only one that thinks it is weird as fuck that Wisconsin's mascot is named Bucky when Ohio State is the Buckeyes?

On point though, I think he is a 2nd rounder because he is small in NBA terms for center but not quick enough to be a power forward. It really depends on how bad he wants the money now vs later.
