Texas is one of the few states, if not the only, that can actually afford to do just that.

I heard that in reality the federal government would make the actual cost prohibitive.

But if they do, I'm crossing that border and probably never leaving.

A clause in the document annexing Texas to the United States allowed for Texas to be divided into five different states. There is a qualification that it would have to be approved by the U.S. Congress but can you imagine 5 "Texas" states with 10 U.S. Senators, etc.?

Texas is really a great place to live.....great economy, large enough geographic area and climate to accomodate what everyone likes......excellent schools......lots of good food options, affordable housing.......plenty of hot chicks.......
