Football Transfers and Attrition

Well we already know that McCray, Harley, and likely Marshall are gone. Wouldn't surprise me to see some OL (Goins, Arkema) and a Wr or two (Smiling, Irick??)..guys that who are either injured, possibly graduating, or buried on the DC.

No inside info..just speculating.

I don't think Irick or Smiling are gone. Irick was hampered by an injury but still may be a big impact guy on this team.

Irick was the one that I was hesitant to put on that list as he is still young in the program. I know we have just heard zilch about him, didn't realize he was slowed by injury. Smiling on the other hand...I think his time has passed, he is a redshirt junior getting zero reps. probably graduating soon, bringing in several highly touted WRs (hopefully hanging onto one and getting another).

By what I am seeing on the roster, we have what is considered 9 schollie receivers returning next year with more on the way. It just seems that WR is a logical place to see some attrition.

Same scenario on the OL IMO. Those two guys I mentioned aren't contributing (Goins may have a career ender apparently). I thought Arkema was on the 2 deep but did he even see the field this year??

I am just hoping we don't see any that are going to hurt real bad. Someone like Caleb....who is super talented, but can't find his way onto the field.

yeah im pretty sure that goins left the team early in the season or even in august. arkema, not sure what happened there but he never really impressed in his time here. i think irick is still on the team, never really could tell if smiling was.

I think it is still up in the air. But it would be huge to have him back.

With 2 years if eligibility, I would totally for this. That would give Ford and Durkin an opportunity to redshirt and not have to really be forced to play for a couple years. That is assuming Wittek would win the job. I get the feeling Loeffler is not super confident in Leal and maybe not Mötley either.
