Iowa's defense will only benefit if the offense does more than 3 and out, 90% of the time versus 35% of the time. Hurry up offense or not, there are still 10 yards for a first down, and if we keep getting more of those per game, our defense won't be on the field as long. And then when they are..it's up to them to get off of the field...3rd and long conversions against us was probably the highest in all of D1 football. Frustrating as hell.

And I agree 100% with Aaron...who invited that azz clown?

As of now, we have 3 commits:

Lucas Legrand OL 6'5" 260 (No *'s yet but would bet he gets 3*'s by the end)

Russ Piersbacher 6'4" 275 (4* and offers from pretty much every team including Notre Dame, Alabama, Stanford, Nebraska, Oklahoma)

Jay Scheel Ath 6'1" 170 (4* with offers from Iowa St, Minnesota, Nebraska)

3* CB who picked Iowa over Maryland and Syracuse because of Iowa getting DB's into the NFL.

Given Parker was the DB coach and elevated to DC, getting decent DB's shouldn't be an issue. Parker has sent many to the NFL..

Was just reading how the loss of Lester Erb is hurting us in Chicago, I guess NW and even Michigan is swooping in to the territory he left. Not a good thing, too bad he couldn't bring the news in and transition...but good luck to Lester at Nevada.

I think our focus now is more NJ/VA/MD as opposed to Illinois/Chicago and Florida. Of our 4 commits so far, 3 have been from Iowa and Truitt is from DC. I think we'll get a clearer picture as we get closer to the season.

Also, rumor is that CJ Hilliard (3* RB from Ohio) is committing in the near future. This is great because

b- His brother is a 2015 LB (4* is what is being rumored) and has offers from everyone

He just committed this morning. That's #5.

I saw that he said he just really liked Iowa as did his parents and maybe most important as well, his brother Justin too...so would be cool to have both brothers as Hawkeyes
