I finally found a type of beer that I really enjoy. I was at a Belgian restaurant the other day and one of my friends introduced me to these "sour beers". I really liked them.

Now, I am not sure what some of the more common ones are or what I should look for when perusing a beer list that may indicate these types unless they say "sour".

Any advice?

I've had a sour beer. But also had this turd of a beer that was made at a monastery or something, I do believe it was Flemish. I didn't really think it was sour. It was more like...the sweet sauce in Seet n' Sour sauce combined with the weird...uh...weirdness of worcestershire sauce before you cook it down in your burger. I cannot describe to you how much I disliked that beer.

Yeah, most IPAs are pretty sour.

I'm not sure what you're drinking, but IPA's aren't sour. He's referring to something completely different.
