Wait, you've been saying all along that Goff should be starting.

So what are you basing this latest epiphany on?

Mannion played good in preseason and was #2 remember Goff didn't dress for week 1 then all of a sudden fisher names him #2 in week 2.

A bust doesn't mean theses ( . ) ( . ), it means busted, smashed, no longer has value.

There is no 'right now' or 'until'...

I hope the "high beems" go off in Goffs head and he does become the tits, and not just another boob, like we have had"

It was NEVER the plan to have him starting the season as QB1. We ALL knew this. Keenum just went out and played a good game, so what's the problem here? We should throw him out there just because he was picked #1 overall? Sorry, doesn't work that way. Orlando Pace didn't start his first few games, made his first start in late September. What a god damn bust, right??? And yes, we did have to trade for Pace too(in case you forgot)...

Yeah no TD's and a QB rating of 49. Great game. :L Now this is where you can honestly say the D won the game.

nope, you can't...The D didn't set up those FG's, the offense did. You know, 239 yards passing just might've had something to do with it, hmmmmm???... Nice try though... Also, where the HELL do you get your bullshit numbers? His QB rating this past week was 85.3...If you're going to throw stats out there, MAKE SURE THEY ARE CORRECT, got it???

So let me get this straight. You guys really believe Fisher gave up 6 picks to move up to #1 so he could sit and learn from Case? Does Fisher have a track record of developing any one on offense? (Robinson, Pead, Quick, Austin to name a few) Im not assuming failure the fact is he can't do basic stuff, like take a snap and drop back and call out the plays in the huddle. I just question a guy being so far behind the curve we gave up the farm to get.

First of all, they gave up 5 picks to move up (the 6th was the actual pick used).

The Rams NEVER said Goff would be the starter day 1, they just loved his talent. He unfortunately came from a spread college offense, so he has to get comfortable with a few things before they throw him to the wolves. The Rams are actually being smart about a player's development for one and the media (and some fans) are all over them for it. Sure, they could throw him out there and maybe he does play better than Keenum right away.
So far, it seems the Rams have done the right thing keeping him out, as the whole team wasn't ready for game 1, and game 2 against the Seahawks is not where you christen your rookie QB.

Seems to me Fisher did pretty well with Steve McNair, who didn't see the field until November and didn't start a game until December of his second year, becoming the full time starter for his third year. But we all know Fisher is a defensive guy to the core, expecting him to develop offensive players isn't fair. That's on his staff and offensive coordinator(s), and we know those have all been uninspiring hires. Pead hasn't proven himself elsewhere either. Robinson is coming along. It looked like Quick was getting it before his injury, and now it seems he may have to elsewhere (if ever). Austin is just plain and straight being used incorrectly, but as an NFL player he is a gadget player. The Rams overdrafted him. Until they change offensive philosophy (or maybe once Goff is at QB and things open up a little), Austin will continue to disappoint.

I agree with much of what you said...And you were doing great!!! but in the future, try not to bring Robinson and Quick into this kind of convo, doesn't help... :suds:

The rams never said he was going to be the starter of course NOT because you never know what you have drafting a rookie. The eagles said Wentz would sit the year but his progress was very good because they have a ton of offensive gurues former QB'S the staff to help him out. we have no one on our staff that can bring him along like that…

Rams coaching staff

FISHER-- Defensive background.
OC--- Rob Boras Former TE COACH/ OL COACH
QB Coach Chris Weienke first year as a coach

Eagles coaching staff

Doug Pederson 12 years NFL QB. 6 years as Andys Reid QB coach
OC--- Frank Reich 14 years NFL QB. 6 years NFL QB coach/OC
QB coach--- John DeFillippo formal College QB. 6 years as NFL QB coach/OC

Yeah, good job stealing someone else's post as your own, I remember this breakdown being quoted in another thread. Nice that they have to point out that DeFillippo was a college QB, but don't mention that Weinke won the Heisman. Boras was an OC and head coach in college. Fisher was also a former NFL CB and took the Titans to the Superbowl. Reich and Pederson were career backups.

The point is they are QB friendly coaches on the Eagles. All of them. Fisher could care less about offense. He still thinks you can pound the ball every week and win without throwing like you could 30 years ago.

If you don't remember something, look it up instead of acting like an idiot claiming you don't remember...The internet is right in front of you, takes two seconds...
