Do you remember those games? We weren't within two scores in the fourth quarter for half of em. But Yay!!! Yards!!!

I do... your making it sound really bad for the offense when the fans had a problem with the defense. They lost 6 games...

1. The 49ers game... had Jim blowing off Jim and Jim going after Jim at the end of the game. The Lions were down 2 going into the 4th and lost by 6.
2. The Falcons game... The Lions didn't put any points on the board in the 4th and lost by 7.
3. The Bears game... Stafford hurt his hand and you'll probably remember the Glove (?). The Lions only scored 7 in the 4th and lost by 24.
4. The Packers game... The Lions were down by 7 when an Ex Lions Player showed the Packers how to kick start a motorcycle and got kicked outta the game. Lions scored only 15 points all game and in the 4th but lost by 12.
5. The Saints game... really could've used an Ex Lions Player (suspension) when Fairley got injured. Lions didn't score any points in the 4th and lost by 14.
6. The Packers game... Lions played both the Packers and Officials and lost by 4 to Matt Flynn.

2012 is just like 2015... it's not the Lions turn to win.

I realize that defenses play prevent when up by 30, do you? Garbage time stats is what that is.

When a team has thrown for 41 TDs in a season there are only two reasons. One is a playoff team and the other was 4-12 and scored in the 4th qtr while trailing.

Need proof for this^^^statement, exhibit A is Patriots with Brady/Moss SB loss after undefeated regular season. Exhibit B is what you tried to sell me...

The only game I can think of for a prevent defense from 2011 is the post-season game against the Saints. On CBS forums I took the stance that the Offense should've done more. Everyone (but someone else) took the stance the Loss was on the Lions defense. Ya'll were blaming the Lions defense for the Loss in week 17 to Matt Flynn and the Packers while overlooking the Officials game changing calls and non calls.

2011 the Lions went 10-6, Stafford had 5,000+ yards and 41 td's.
2012 the Lions went 4-12, Stafford had 4,967 yards.

The only "prevent" I can think of in 2012 falls on the Lions for prevent winning. A couple of examples...

1. Lions @ 49ers... Calvin Johnson running crossing routes leading defenders to the Lions ball carriers.
   
2. Lions @Titans... Stafford leaving the game with a cough-cough hamstring injury. Shaun Hill getting lucky getting the Lions back in the game and Dominic Raiola snapping the ball on 4th and 1 in over time to lose the game.

Was the same season for me also. Some posters considered the that season a 5K one also, because he was a triple coverage jump ball away.

Didn't have the heart to tell LMW after he wrote a book, but hates to read them. Now he has written two novels. I swore Matt threw more than 22 TDs in 2012, it was just 4th qtr yardage he was getting.

Sorry LMW... I spent many conversations with people defending Matt from 2012 as if he was awesome that year.

Wasn't spinning MM, I was thinking 2012, not the first playoff year. I don't spin anything with Stafford. Don't have to. It's usually people on the other side of his fence that do that.
