Word is spreading fast that Emelianenko is returning and I think Fedor may have a shot. The only problem is after a layoff of 3 years something will be different. No one ever comes back quite the same. It's just the way it goes unfortunately. Hopefully he will fight low caliber fighters to start and slowly build his way back. As you get into your late 30's you can still be awesome but your reflexes are generally a tad bit slower. This may affect his superior stand up skills he had. I've personally seen guys who were experts on the ground even near age 60. They don't compete in MMA but if it goes to the ground they will still submit you. His ground skills may be just as good as before. I'd like to see Fedor as the champ. I'm a huge fan, but getting past Verdum who's on fire right now is going to be a huge challenge. Good luck Fedor!

Fedor is like almost every other athlete who dominated. They retire, get bored, stop hurting all the time from the non-stop training and competition and make a comeback. Unless he's doing it because he needs money, I think he should stay retired.

I don't see how he needs money. He's buddies with Putin isn't he? Those gangsters take care of their own. They're notorious for taking care of their own plus people they respect.

Fedor vs. Mir.

Mir gets wobbly but finishes him in the first either by putting him to sleep or taking home his arm.

This is a bad idea. He may turn into a stepping stone for some young fighter's trying to make a name for themselves.

Take up golf, Fedor!!!

I don't follow MMA very closely, but it seems that these guys have a much shorter shelf life than boxers. I can't imagine the beating their bodies take in the ring.

I am guessing he signs with the UFC because I don't think Coker is willing to put up the $$ for what the UFC would for Fedor. I read Bellator still hasn't even talked to Fedor so looks like he is finally going to fight the best in the world. Anxious to see his tune-up fight to see what he has left in the tank.
