I liked the soundtrack to Madden 2003

It felt more like the radio as opposed to unnecessary orchestra background.

I also loved the soundtrack for NCAA Football 2006 for the same reason. Plus it had Mother Love Bone.

I feel like forza horizon has a well rounded soundtrack that will be a classic in my mind in the future years. It's not very old just about a little over a year I believe. Has a great balance of Alt rock, Dance/house/dub step, and some indie.

The grand theft auto series has had some great soundtracks as well. They have had pretty much a best of 80's 90's 00's and some ok music in the past game, GTA4

Also Elder Scrolls: Oblivian is pretty good. Really enjoy the music as does the wife. She likes it when I play Oblivian or Skyrim as opposed COD/any other loud game with gunshots.

If we're going for a musical score or something, probably Final Fantasy VII. If we're talking just good tunes, I'll say either ESPN X-Games ProBoarder or the original Tony Hawk Pro Skater.

Prince of Persia games, but especially the score for Sands of Time which you can listen to all tracks at that link from beginning to end. I used to play it just to listen to the music. So perfectly set the mood for the environments you were in and the game play. Beautiful escapism. The battles using the dagger to slow and reverse time were such a blast.

I thought the Halo: CE soundtrack was amazing. It fit the game perfectly. The soundtrack to Assault on the Control Room is burned into my brain.
