So, only your oppinion matters. I was never impressed with Elvis, just like I never understood all the hype over the Beatles.
I never said only my opinion matters, I just listed my favorite singers and others decided to criticize my selections.

he put the genre on the map, inspiring many of the great rock artists of the 60's, like beatles and rolling stones.

“No-one, but no-one, is his equal, or ever will be. He was, and is supreme.” Mick Jagger

No.

It's a neat myth, not unlike the "Babe Ruth is the greatest hitter that ever lived" nonsense. It's a nostalgic, feel-good story for old folks. Nothing more.

elvis just came along around the white place and the white time, that's all. lol

lotta sour grapes there.
Doubtful. Different genres, but Ray loved him some Willie Nelson and George Jones, and they came around in the same time frame.

Even there...the term "greatest hitter" is open to interpretation just like the term "rock music" imho.

Uh...yes you can. There are countless instances of massive success with no discernible talent whatsoever.

I guess Justin Bieber is fucking awesome? I would say success may actually be one of the worst barometers for overall talent.

There are many stupid people.

that's just your opinion. that and a buck will get you coffee.

does beiber have 114 gold records. Hall of fame in rock gospel country blues?

they never achieved near the fame elvis did for singing r&b, a genre that ray believes belong to blacks.
