Somewhere in the desert:

A shot is heard and a horse comes galloping back to camp without a rider.

High on a sand dune you see a lone rider on a horse. The Raisuli (Sean Connery - Mulai Ahmed er Raisuli).

He does one of those horse on rear legs rear up (silhouetted against the skyline) and comes galloping down to rescue Mrs. Perdicaris (Candice Bergen), one hand shooting and then switching to sword for a couple of beheadings of fleeing riders.
