It has been reported that his TD celebration of jumping into the huge Salvation Army kettle has brought in over 182k in donations for them so far...Very Cool!!!
Maybe The NFL can donate the money that Elliot will pay in fines for jumping into the barrel, to the Salvation Army. Never mind the NFL said Elliot won't get fined. I guess the NFL has double standards for players showboating. The Salvation Army is an AMAZING organization!!! I have donated to them MANY times and am SO happy to see them get this kind of publicity!!!
Good cause and I hope it continues to grow! Good to see young players stepping up to the plate and not letting it get to them and becoming too big for their britches
When Antonio Brown broke free on a punt return and ran backward into the end zone, the referee didn’t like it. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin also didn’t like it. And the league office didn’t like it, either.Maybe The NFL can donate the money that Elliot will pay in fines for jumping into the barrel, to the Salvation Army. The NFL fined the Steelers wide receiver $11,576 for his end zone celebration during Pittsburgh's 45-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, per a source informed of the situation.
Brown returned a punt for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter on Sunday night and attempted to jump and stick onto the goalpost, but failed to perfect the landing.
Good for Zeke and the Salvation Army and the folks that they will help with all that cash
I highly doubt his intention was to raise awareness for that cause, but it's a cool deal anyway.
Most of the players celebrations are cool, but most of them come with a NFL fine attached. Elliot was lucky he wasn't fined, maybe Dallas players have special privileges.I highly doubt his intention was to raise awareness for that cause, but it's a cool deal anyway.
He raised money for a worthy cause. You should be praising him. Most of the players celebrations are cool, but most of them come with a NFL fine attached. Elliot was lucky he wasn't fined, maybe Dallas players have special privileges.
I really don't care if he raised money for any worthy cause. IMO, Elliot should have been fined for his celebration. It is against NFL rules to celebrate excessively. He raised money for a worthy cause. You should be praising him.
Come on GNG, that was not his intention to raise money for the Salvation Army. If he wants to raise money for the Salvation Army, let him stand in front of Walmart and ring a bell.Sure that was his intention.
You seem like a bitter old man... Lighten up OT.I really don't care if he raised money for any worthy cause. IMO, Elliot should have been fined for his celebration. It is against NFL rules to celebrate excessively.
T. Owens said was fined "a good chunk of money" --
which he later defined as thousands of dollars -- for a celebration
that included him using the goal post and football to poke fun at
the New England Patriots' spying scandal during Dallas' 37-20 victory over Miami this past Sunday.
A league spokesman said the fine was $7,500.
There were many NFL players that were fined for celebrations.
You must admit that it got national attention.Come on GNG, that was not his intention to raise money for the Salvation Army. If he wants to raise money for the Salvation Army, let him stand in front of Walmart and ring a bell.
