finally got around to watching Captain America: Civil War and I gotta say I'm just not all that impressed. They plugged a bunch of characters in and tried to make it all fit and it felt wrong. I guess it doesn't help that I am reading the Civil War series of comics right now and the stories are so different. Instead of the Superhero Registration Act, they made it between Iron Man and Cap and their egos. I dunno, just wasn't too happy about all that.

This is the best news I've heard about the movie yet.

The source comic is an absolute trainwreck.

Watching Civil War a 2nd time made me realize how boring and improbable it was outside of 2 or 3 scenes. It's Marvels version of Dark Knight Rises.

I disagree with Q on the 2nd Nolan Batman, though. I've seen it at least 5 times and it's great.

Civil War WAS boring. I fell asleep the first time through it.

Wouldn't say boring... The fight scenes I thought were done great, and were fun to watch... It saved a TERRIBLE story IMO... But certainly one of the worst Marvel universe movies... Only ahead of Iron man 3 and Avengers 2...

I don't know, maybe I am just over the Marvel movie scene. I did enjoy Deadpool and still have to see the latest X-Men, but I feel like there is just too much now. I understand the premise of Civil War is to include as many heroes as possible, but it just felt so forced bringing in Antman and introducing Black Panther and the new Spidey. I just don't think they can do it justice.

it's that Batman Begins is the best one IMO.

The Dark Knight works, too.

The 2 things the Dark Knight has that Batman Begins doesn't is a well done version of the Joker and social allegories that are/were relevant to the time.

I would argue BB has the latter. Gotham isn't really much different than the rest of America right now. It's a gilded age.

Well, Suicide Squad sucked ass. The focus of the writers seemed to be on catchphrases that would appeal to the teenies. They had a real opportunity to take creative liberty with these characters and make them more interesting. The director tried to film it in a way that made it seem like you were watching a comic book but if not done correctly it just comes off as confusing and disorienting. What a pile of shit.

I may watch Batman vs Superman but this movie has been such a giant load of ass that I fear falling asleep during it.

Yeah, it was grey, muddy, and almost impossible to tell what was going on.

Avengers 2 wasn't bad at all, maybe not the best Marvel film but far from awful.

Not sure where I'd rank it but I'd definitely say that of all the MCU movies, Iron Man 2 was definitely the worst of the bunch. Civil War wasn't horrible but nowhere near great. For me, I'd say that Captain America: The Winter Soldier was the best.

Captain America is the shining beacon of Marvel movie sets.
