Lol not that I disagree, but it’s more newsworthy than a lot of the other headlines lol. But fair enough.

IMHO, the Wild Card is just that…. A Wild Card. It is a CHANCE to go to the post season. I fully believe that the WC game should be considered a regular season game (and award voting should be done after these games have been played). I understand that the WC game are officially considered “post season”. Doesn’t mean I consider them “post season”.

I just checked ESPN.com.

No mention on the main page. On the MLB page, the 3rd feathered story is about “who’s in?” And they have a pic of the dogs in a celebration line. That’s it.

And I think my zone (SoCal) features on LA.

I gotta defend ESPN here by essentially ignoring early WC clinches. It will mean more for St Louis, Cincy or SD, and ESPN SHOULD pay attention to that clinch…

Again, agreed, just thought it was funny. Up where I am they had a dedicated article as the third bullet point for the “defending champs clinching playoff berth”.

I think NorCal is a different zone for ESPN. Surprising that the NorCal zone would make a deal about the dogs clinching but the SoCal zone would not…
