Dickerson is probably the best unowned player in every league right now except the ones I'm in.
Also I would take Sale over Cueto also. Cueto is just getting very lucky imo.
Well both offers got turned down. I think I may have to do this
I am in need of stolen bases, so trading Stanton for some steals players may be a better alternative.
With pitching if I cannot get the extra ace I should just deal Cueto for a up-and-coming ace(like Keuchel) and an extra closer.
I think Stanton isnt as valued in this league or not worth giving players up for. But now I know why that guy did that. He clearly wanted to cruise to the playoffs. And I will be honest, i dealt him Wainwright last year with Mujica for Hamilton and Gregg. I need that at the time but I also ended up helping him win the title last year and this year he's clearly the frontrunner again.
Why do you have to trade Stanton to get steals?? If nobody values Stanton as elite, then keep him and watch him hit .300, with 40 bombs. I don't see the problem. You're making it sound like he's Adam Dunn with all power and nothing else. IMO, he's the best OF in the National League.
Dickerson will get you a few steals... did you pick him up yet?
I added him but he only has 2 sbs all year. Does hitting higher in the lineup increase steals? But also I have nowhere to start him. Choo, Taveras, Springer, Stanton, and Rajai are taking up those spots. And Castellanos is in the u spot because I need an infielder in that spot for double plays.
Well if it ends up blowing up in my face, I'll find a way. But when you are 20 games out of first place the best way to catch up is take hold of those pitching stats. Vogelsong has looked good for a while now and he has only gotten rocked in predictable matchups at the cards and at home against the braves, who are a good road team. As for Lee, he can get 12 K games. I'm not thinking about years down the road, I'm thinking about this year. I want this division to prove something.
That doesn't tell me anything. Trading your best hitter for a hope and a prayer that Cliff Lee comes back 100% to a terrible, terrible team that the Phillies throw out there every night just isn't good strategy, IMO.
Was thinking the same thing minutes before you.... great minds.....

The window to acquire Nick Castellanos is going to be gone soon.

Yeah I have noticed that and was able to start him tonight with Rendon not starting. I was never planning to drop him because of that potential. I just couldn't.
