It's not a poorly worded statement, it's a statement trying to follow your logic. Lower ratings are a result of losing customers from cord cutting. They are not the cause of these layoffs. Like layoffs, lower ratings are a consequence of cord cutting.

Too retarded; DNR

I realize that there must be people that like hockey, but I don't know any. From a national perspective, I just don't see how hockey could possibly measure up to the big three.

Which is amazing because it's actually the most exciting of the sports. Weird that the sport's climate is monetizing something other than the excitement that happens on the field/court/ice. I think that's at the root of where ESPN got in trouble by going off into their little bubble of trying to monetize dramatizing the sport.

A few of you brought up Berman. I'm scratching my head over here. Didn't he announce his retirement before the end of last season?

I remember there was a thread about it, but I think that rumbling, bumbling, stumbling idiot back, back, back, back, back, backed himself into another lower-profile gig over there.

Is it just me or does he seem like the guy behind the desk with no pants on?

they'll just have to go find another way to make fortunes off of talking about men swatting at and hurling balls through different apparatuses

I haven't heard Pawwwls name or anyone else on the SEC network.

Gotta be SEC bias.
