Back injury will keep Kansas' Joel Embiid out of Big 12 tournament

Looks like he may not be "back".(no pun intended)

"Based on that, this weekend (in the Big 12 Championship) is out," Self said. "Next weekend, we feel like is a longshot, but the doctors are hopeful that if Joel works hard in rehab and progresses that it is possible that he could play in the later rounds of the NCAA Tournament if our team is fortunate enough to advance."

That says it all, he's basically done for the year.

I agree. Like I said before. When you get a back injury it can last for WEEKS. I knew it when I saw him flinching right after he came down with this injury against Oklahoma State March 1st. He tried to come back but he just couldn't go. I think without him Kansas is done as well.
