WTF are Virginia fans still crying?

I don't see Kansas fans crying about losing to an underseeded Wichita team? Heck Wichita had a bigger case for being underseeded than MSU
How is saying what many experts are saying considered crying? MSU was better than UVa, but I still think they are better than a 7 seed.

Well, I'm 2/4 in Elite Eight games, but I've already locked up the pool in my group of friends. no matter how the rest of the tourney goes, I'm guaranteed to win by at least one point. Sweet.

MSU was probably a little under-seeded. If they had beat Wisconsin in the B1G tourney most were saying they would have gotten a 4 seed. But I've talked to some guys in the past on KFFL that used to seed out the whole tourney themselves every year ahead of time, and were always incredibly close to what the actual bracket looked like. They told me that with a lot of the rules that exist about conference teams playing each other and stuff that seeds can sometimes be a tiny bit shuffled to make the whole bracket work.

For instance maybe the committee had MSU around the 20th rated team, which would be the lowest 5 seed, but maybe that would have made a 7-10 game in another region be against 2 schools from the same conference. So they bump some stuff around and give the highest 6th seed into the lowest 5 seed spot. Then move that 5 seed into a 6th seed or even the easiest 7 seed. They say for the most part you pick the top 4 teams, seed them right, fill in the 2 seeds where they work, and most of the rest of the bracket fills itself out according to those rules.

Really what's the difference between a low 5 seed and a high 7 anyways? And a 5 seed is about the highest you could argue for State.
