Keep defending RR…that is fine. You are wrong but keep doing it.

im defending him if he wins this year. You guys want him out regardless of what happens this year. I think we already went through this.

But you defend his performance as GM and went year by year giving excuses.
If he wins, what does it prove? It proves what sty said, Rivera only wins every 4 years and has never had back to back winning seasons. Why would it be different here?
You mean to tell me that if he goes 8-9 he is out, but if he goes 9-8, he stays?
He has made some of the worst front office decisions in the entire Nfl.
You yourself admitted no other team would hire him as GM, yet you want us to keep him if he gets 9 wins?
Is the coach centric method a proven successful front office example in the nfl?

There is a point I haven’t seen mentioned in all this back and forth.

Given Danny Boy, this team wasn’t garnering (and certainly not keeping) top talent for a coaching or GM position. His meddling impacted football choices everywhere.

I give credit to RR for handling the last gasps of Snyder insanity with class.

Good point.
I always though snyder was intimidated by Rivera, as he should be.
Rivera is a great person, Danny is not. It's just that simple.
I think snyder left Rivera alone because he was busy covering up the scandals, coming up with new excuses, etc.

That is what I was explaining to Dean. Go after gruden all you want, he did make some awful decisions. However, gruden had snyder breathing down his neck and manipulating the draft. Rivera did not have that it appears.

Someone said that riveras most successful season was his first season using grudens players. I would not go that far but it makes you think.

Synder probably had to give RR full control for him to even come here.

Which was the first mistake.
You don't hire a GM with no front office experience right?

I have a good buddy who is a CAR fan and he went bananas when we hired Rivera and made him GM. He even said that Rivera had zero front office responsibilities in CAR.

So here is one for you.
Do we have any idea how many draft picks over his tenure did snyder personally make or directly influence?

Haskins?

There have to be more. I want somebody to write a tell all Lifetime tv movie book about snyder.
Snyder wanted Griffin .... Shanahans poked back by drafting Cousins in the fourth round.

McNabb/Snyder were behind the trade for McNabb. Shanahans were pissed.
