Goode as a trade makes some sense, but I will be impressed if they pull it off. Everyone knows he will be cut, so a team has to be convinced that there will be alot of competition to sign him to want to trade.

The Eagles are reportedly trying to trade Barner as well. That is a bit of a surprise, but I guess they feel like they like Mostert as well, and really don't need Barner. A 4th RB should never play, and his punt return duties are going to be done by Sproles once the season starts. Personally, I think they should keep the 4th RB, as all three of the other guys are injury prone and the plan anyways is to use all three a substantial amount. Argaubly, Barner is only one injury away from playing.

Sucks Man! He is more proven than Mostert, and offers PR skill if they want to save Sproles for just WR. I guess they are paranoid of losing Mostert, which I can see, but Barner is so explosive ala Sproles, but bigger. I will agree with Chip (not that he cares), but we'll see.

I am wondering if Smith II could be put on the PUP list. If he isn't ready?? or even if he is and is behind enough where he wouldn't be active?? you could put him there for half the year and keep Goode.

Well, I am not good at watching LBs, so I will trust your eyes. I am basing it more on the fact that we was a FA only a month ago and would likely be safe on the Practice Squad. Perhaps he makes it if they PUP or IR Smith II?

I agree that Watkins has looked pretty decent for a guy off the street. He looks like a practice squad developmental guy to me though. If I am going to add another OLB to the actual roster I look at the waiver wire, because I suspect there are way better options out there.

Maehl has likely used up his PS eligibility. I wish they could cut Cooper and keep Maehl who is a special teams ace, but I doubt it happens. Too bad for the Oregon kid.
