"Oh, it will be a shootout. There will be a lot of pressure on Philly to score and keep scoring to keep pace with Peyton," said Tony Dungy, Manning's former coach with the Indianapolis Colts. "I would expect Peyton to have a big day against that Eagles defense."

"And the thing is it won't be people sitting on the ball. These (first) two games, against Baltimore and the Giants, the Broncos were sitting on the ball at the end of the game," Dungy said. "So you wonder if Philly is able to keep up with them, and now the Broncos have to press on offense, what kind of numbers they'll put up? It'll be interesting."

Eagles defenders, Manning have history

They know he can be beaten because many of them have actually done it. Cary Williams was playing cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens when they defeated Peyton Manning in the AFC playoffs earlier this year. Connor Barwin was on the Houston Texans defense that went to Denver a year ago and defeated Manning and the Broncos.

Safeties Nate Allen and Kurt Coleman and outside linebackers Trent Cole and Brandon Graham beat Manning when he was with the Colts.
“I think I hit him a few times,” Cole, who had one of the Eagles’ three sacks in that 2010 game, said Tuesday. “I can’t give you the secret, but I know we were jumping on him.”
