Ameer Abdullah - RB - Lions
Ameer Abdullah amassed seven yards on two carries and lost two yards on his lone catch Friday in Detroit’s second preseason game against the Giants.

The 2015 second-rounder started for the Lions, though we wouldn’t read too much into that. Abdullah’s longest run went for just four yards. He also had a miscommunication with Matthew Stafford on a botched handoff and muffed a punt in the second quarter, though neither miscue resulted in a turnover. Despite drawing the start on Friday, Abdullah is no better than fourth on Detroit’s running back depth chart behind rookie Kerryon Johnson, power back LeGarrette Blount and pass-catcher Theo Riddick.
