Really sucky, provides us with speed, board play behind the net, & provides a target for Sid. Joe Vitale wasn't bad in that role tonight but would like to see someone else on the 1st line. Maybe we could eventually put Beau Bennett in that role if he gets healthy. Otherwise would love to see Brian Gibbons in that role. Chris Connor also looked impressive when he scored that goal. Injuries keep piling up.

It is a shame to lose him after signing him to that long term deal last off-season. Dupuis was probably at his personal best these last 12 months, as he played great coming out of the lock-out, and then this season, even with a dip in scoring, he was integral to their PK and making plays with Sid and Kunitz.

On the flip side, Shero might make a move for a pending top six winger FA sometime in the future. Time for speculation :)

I hope they insert Beau Bennett into the line when he gets healthy. He sort of reminds me of Dup in his playing style. I think it would be great for his career and a good fit for the line as well.

This is a huge blow to the Penguins and their offense. It's scary how good of a player he's turned into playing with Crosby. Makes me wonder what he could have been had he stayed a Ranger early in his career.

Bennett has a high ceiling, yet. No doubt about that. Real question is his durability. He's been hurt twice now in his short NHL career, and he was also injured with another broken wrist in college.

As I recall he was really good for the Wild when they made it to the Western Conference Finals back in '03. Rangers gave up on him way too early, and the Thrashers just gave him to us for this guy,

LOL

Anyways, hope Dup takes care of himself and gets back with the team, really like having Dup around, even if he's not playing, he's a great locker room guy.

His wrist is an issue, but he's got tons of hockey smarts. I think he'll overcome the injuries.

Rangers always give up on guys early, but we've also had our fair share of players who have given up on us early lol

It was Alex Bourett. I made a mistake in my posting. Forgot we got him with Hossa back in the day.

Yeah they really did give him away for nothing but so did the Wild & Thrashers so you can't feel too bad.

Dup is my favorite player and I couldn't be sadder...

Is it me or are some of the Pens players (Letang, Malkintent, Bennett) made of glass? Often injured...Dup missed 2 games in like the last 4 years...Get better #9 and we will see you next year.

I really like Gibbons filling in for Dup on the Crosnitz line.

Meh...I think Vitale is a better fit, but then again, I see Vitale as Duper version 2.0, righty....Gibbons is on the smallish side

I don't mind Gibbons there he is smart and seems to be in the right position a lot.
Vitale has too much value as a faceoff man that makes that 4th line good. That 4th line has looked awful without him on it recently.
