Miami goes from #3 to #6 and still nets a 1st rounder, a 3rd rounder, and a late round bump? Big win for them especially if somehow the top 5 all end up being QBs.

AKA "We know he makes too much money but we'd rather trade him than cut him so what are you going to give us New England"
NE won't give them anything for JG. The 9ers will have to deal with this QB fiasco they have created. The only people linking JG to the Pats are non Pat fans.

So...

#1 - Jags - Lawrence
#2 - Jets - Wilson
#3 - 49ers - Fields
#4 - Falcons - Sewell, Farley or Surtain
#5 - Bengals - Pitts or Chase
#6 - Dolphins - Left over of Sewell, Pitts or Chase...if for some reason they are all gone because Jets do not go QB, then ALA WR Smith or Waddle

Niners are in a pretty good spot to not have a QB fiasco, tbh. NE does have a QB fiasco.

But maybe you're right. NE has spent its money and built its team. It makes more sense for them to draft a QB.

I wouldn't rule out:

2. Jets - Wilson
3. Niners - Fields
4. Broncos - Mac Jones
5. Panthers - Trey Lance
6. Dolphins - Sewell

Name the last time the Bengals traded down in the 1st round especially when they were in the top 10?

I do think between them and the Falcons, the Falcons are far more likely to trade down. Id just imagine that the Broncos and Panthers are two teams fairly desperate to upgrade at the QB spot. Or at least one desperate team and one team that should be.

Bengals seem to have put themselves in a spot where Sewell isnt the obvious pick which seems a bit strange to me because I do have Sewell being the most valuable non-QB. I'd imagine they'd take Pitts, though.

The fiasco will come in paying the QBs. But you are correct I think BB will try and take Mack or Davis Mills later

The Niners can easily walk away from Jimmy without much financial ramifications.

I don't know. I think now that the Dolphins basically just gave the Bengals Chase, they will go WR to reunite him with Burrow. I would ike to think it is Pitts, because he is a beast, but you just jettisoned Green, Ross and Erickson...I think we will go Chase and play 3 WR sets 85% of the time with Mixon in the backfield with 1 TE.

Not a fan of this move by the Niners
Don't give up two future #1's for the 3rd QB

Dolphins are making moves.
They need to and they are being smart about it. They had a great draft last year and have positioned themselves for a great draft this and next year. With how the Bills have come on and what the Pats did in the offseason they have to stay active to stay competitive. I have doubts as to whether Tua is the right QB to lead them,. but we will see

  • Dolphins acquired the No. 6 and No. 123 overall picks from the Eagles in exchange for No. 12 overall, No. 123 overall, and a 2022 first-round pick.

49ers acquired the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 draft from the Dolphins in exchange for the No. 12 pick, a 2021 third-round pick, and first-round picks in 2022 and 2023.

The deal ensures San Francisco surrounds a quarterback for the entirety of his rookie contract with LT Trent Williams, George Kittle, and receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel, not to mention the luxury of working with Kyle Shanahan in that time. Whether it's Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, or Trey Lance that GM John Lynch distinctly made this blockbuster move for remains to be seen. It also entails the end of Jimmy Garoppolo in the Bay Area as he's due $26.4 million in 2021 and a total of $53.4 million over the next two seasons. The Dolphins in turn now hold the No. 12, 18, 36, and 50 overall picks in this year's draft.
