Ross is getting a divorce.
They will "split" their assets.

This would be a great time to "stick it to her" by giving her the Dolphins!
Doesn't franchise ownership have to be agreed upon by the league and all other owners?

I remember there was a big hullabaloo about whether or not Amy Adams Strunk was going to be able to keep the Titans after Bud Adams died.

Ross 100% has to go. Owners who essentially are gambling on their own teams to lose can't be allowed in the league.
We don't know that's the case (wanting his team to lose). My take for what it's worth, is that what happened was all about Tua. Grier drafted him and wanted him to play ASAP and Flores wasn't a fan and felt that Fitzpatrick gave him a better chance to win. Likely Ross got involved and backed Grier and Flores saw being forced to start Tua as being told to lose. Later Flores pushed for a trade for Watson, again because he didn't see Tua as a NFL quality starter.

If Ross is being investigated for the "tank for Tua" campaign why isn't Irsay being investigated for the "suck for Luck" campaign?

Everybody knew the Colts were tanking and nobody seemed to give a shit. Dare I say it was far more obvious than Miami.

Now that the NFL has sanctioned legalized gambling, it puts them in a different position.
Rumors are that getting a new owner for the fish is making it a tougher sale because of the specter of the class action lawsuit - which is assuredly coming.

"Making the claim that Ross wanted to lose even more jarring is the fact that it allegedly happened at the dawn of the age of legalized sports wagering. As of 2019, roughly six states had legalized sports wagering programs. To the extent that the tanking plan worked, the Dolphins deliberately lost games that someone, somewhere bet hard-earned money they’d win."

Yes of course they tanked, very obvious or the Saints with Bountygate to me is more egregious, might have ended someone's career or worse
