Let's be honest: out of all the major sports, football players have the shortest average careers. To even make it this long with all his injuries, it's more than a lot of guys would get.

Some folks are even criticizing him because "quarterbacks don't get beat up as badly as other players."

Has anyone heard him talk much?

Is he broadcast booth material, with another network looking for their own Tony Romo?

I can't see him as a coach.

He would be terrible in the booth.

But if I remember correctly he got some really smart degree from Stanford so he will be just fine in life with no football.

No one misinterpreted your words. Or the context of them.

Not even you.

So what? I never once said that a voter couldn’t consider the possibility that he plays again. The initial question was “Will Luck be inducted into the hall of fame?” I did not stipulate “as of today” or require that voters only consider his accomplishments to date.

Even if we weighed the possibility that he plays again, most people would still vote “no.”

He didn't pass up all that money without being 100% sure he was done with football IMO. He's made close to 100 million and seems to be the type to be smart about his money, so don't think money would be a issue in any case. He'll set himself up as business man and enjoy the fruits of his labor going forward.

I think he will given his injury history. But I think the Colts are hoping he returns since they didn't get any money back from him

He's had 6 or 7 surgeries over the last few years I think, so he's probably retired for good.

He's gonna join his old man Oliver - help the new XFL get off the ground,

Oliver is one of the chief XFL heads and executives, he has alot invested in this,

this "retirement" was a ruse, it is all about being the face of the New XFL next Spring.

Oliver Luck is behind all of this. Just watch, by January Luck will be feeling A LOT better.
