Whoever sucks less between Haren and Correia will be the fifth starter. I don't know much about Correia but his career stats say that he's worse than Haren.

Pretty much what Nos said, we just needed someone who can eat up some innings.

Eat up innings when we are getting blown out or up by 7.

Also a good long reliever or spot starter. The guy can make innings go away in garbage time.

How 'bout the mighty Giants getting swept in KC, fellas?

I thought players acquired after the deadline aren't eligible anyways? :noidea:

I believe if a player is acquired by the end of August they are eligible for the post season.

Correira looked pretty good tonight, but I don't see him as a guy to pin any hopes on. He did a nice job tonight, though and it helped lead to a Dodgers victory.

Sums up my sentiments exactly...

He did pitch well, but the Braves haven't exactly been tearing the cover off the ball. He probably figures to benefit from returning to the NL and pitching on the West Coast a lot, even though tonight's game was in Atlanta. Still, I will be surprised if he is particularly good.

Any time a Dodger team wins in Atlanta, I'm impressed. History since the start of the 90s has not been kind there.

Correia was great in Pittsburg. Maybe he can come back to his old form.

Well I looked up his record in Pittsburg and it wasn't all that great. I thought I remember him having a good year over there? Maybe he started off hot then lost a bunch. But I liked what I saw against the Braves.

Didn't know his favorite team was the Dodgers growing up, he definitely seems to have a great attitude. Really seems to love being a Dodger. Not sure if he'll perform as well as he did against Atlanta for the rest of the season but I'll be rooting for him.

''I haven't had that feeling I don't think since being called up,'' he said. ''I come in and I have a locker next to the best pitcher on the planet (Clayton Kershaw). I couldn't be happier with the spot that I'm in right now.''
