The most penalized program in NCAA history doesn't cheat.

Sure they do.

But what's that got to do with Alabama?

Yup... but many (perhaps most) humans display this behavior:

However... some people (not enough IMO) can change, and are capable of going over to the other side of the fence:

The cognitive dissonance phenomenon is generally strong/pronounced when it comes to religion and politics (Remember when Trump said he could go outside on Fifth Ave and shoot someone and he wouldn't loose a single vote)..... but as we've witnessed in this thread, cognitive dissonance even happens in silly things such as sports...... because once we are 'bought-in' to something, it's pretty hard to 'un-buy' ourselves. You can easily figure out the Hooplans who display this phenomenon..... they're the ones who generally utilize a lot of rainbow and bullshit reaction icons (uh-oh.... incoming icons on my post.... hehe)

We have a few old sayings regarding the subject of cognitive dissonance: "a leopard cannot change its spots" and "you can't teach an old dog new tricks".

Human behavior is pretty darn fascinating.

Thanks for these IM...I've known this for a long time but this is the best one I've seen explaining it in understandable English instead of medical, psycho-techno babble.

Where in Life is a Level Playing Field achieved....
Good point. If life were fair, I'd have hair on my head! (Got a lot of it on my ass, ears, etc...)

And not hurt in a different place every morning when I wake up!

There's like 4 or 5 recruits that are predicted to go to Alabama by various recruiting sites. They currently have 25 commits. What the "alabama" limit 29? 30? Cut whoever doesn't excel in sabans spring camp?
How dare you!! Alabama does NOT oversign!! Lol

That's what happens when you have kids going to the NFL and/or transferring. More spots get opened up and you're allowed to account for the attrition.

I hope we get about 35.

The best part is we already have 5 5 stars enrolled and in class.

I have a question. I heard Tennessee might sign 29-30 kids in this class. That would make the number of kids taken in the last 4 years to be around 115. How the hell are they pulling that off?

Last time I looked many of the ones they sign aren't actually making it on campus.

yeah, Jalen Hurd transferred, WR Preston Williams transferred, WR Vincent Perry transferred, DT Danny O'Brien was dismissed, and then guys like CB Cam Sutton, LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin, QB Josh Dobbs, TE Jason Croom, RB Alvin Kamera and DE Derek Barnett, etc.. are leaving (graduation/draft).

attrition is a helluva drug.

Michigan could have landed/land up to 32 recruits mainly because of their pathetic 2015 class and a few transfers.

I get the occasional big class, but this is a 4 year number. That means 4 big classes in a row. That is crazy

Not level soccer field.

Nice.... IMO this would make soccer a much more interesting sport... especially if the players were required to enter the water to chase down the ball... with the water of course being infested with starving alligators... and the patch of bushes swarming with rattlesnakes.

They either transfer or get a gray shirt. Badgers took a four star OLB that was forced to grayshirt because they recruited too many. We will need it since we lost both TJ Watt and Biegel to the NFL (One will be a second round pick and the other will be a third rounder).

Yes Bama is handing out cash money just like many teams in the south. It's what they do. The NCAA Won't do shit.
