I haven't seen Deliverance mentioned...that shit's pretty disturbing.
I was just thinking that. Just the fucking inbred boy playing the banjo is a mind-fuck.

I'd recommend Henry.. if you can call such a thing a recommendation, lol. Haven't watched it since that first time years and years ago and I recall it was kinda low budget. But it felt real. Stark. Worlds away from typical Hollywood fare.

It was a little gory but not all that disturbing. Maybe because it's from 1980 or that I already knew what it was about.
The People Under the Stairs
Or was it more funny than disturbing?
“GROTESQUE” (2009)
“IMPRINT” (2006)
“IRREVERSIBLE” (2002)
“A SERBIAN FILM” (2010)
All these have been taken from this site, those are just some I plan to check out.
Truly Disturbing's Top 10 MOST DISTURBING Movies Of All Time
With the above films you are starting to get into the more disturbing movies. Jaws, Hellraiser etc are good movies and disturbing to some but once you get into movies like Imprint and Irreversible disturbing takes on a whole new meaning.
So I've read. Stomach was turning just reading the synopsis of these films.
If interested you should check out any of the August Underground movies. Terrible movies but the gore is out of hand.
Heard about those as well. Is that a series of movies or just one or something?
series of movies. Movies follow two serial killers with Blair Witch type camera work.
Here is a review of the 1st film....
How to describe this film? Try the home invasion scene from Henry, directed by GG Allin. In a word: nauseating. I came out of the experience feeling physically ill, although I'm not sure if that was down to the relentlessly sea-sick camera work or the scuzz-fest content. Probably both. I ended up watching big chunks of it on fast-forward because (despite the gross-out set-pieces) much of it was quite tedious. From what I've read about the film makers, they're serious about what they're doing and have a genuine passion for the horror genre.

I saw Blair Witch in a packed theater and a number of people had to leave because they got motion sick. I found that more entertaining than the movie. That annoys the hell out of me. I find myself losing focus whwne a movie is like that.

Not necessarily the MOST disturbing... But Quarantine was a good one
