Great match and huge win for him to beat one of the big 4. He seems poise to have a great yr after having a good run at the aussie open and advancing to the finals of this tournament now.

At this point, I'm not sure it's safe to say Murray is in the "Big Four." He's in serious danger of falling to #8, and that's before he loses the 2,000 points he won at Wimbledon last year. And before you blame it on injury, he's played 20 tourneys in the last year. Without a deep run in Miami or Indian Wells, he should be seriously worried about his game.

murray's admitted many times that he needs motivation to give 100%

after winning wimbledon, it might take him another half a season or more to get motivated to win 250/500 level tournaments.

i'm betting we'll see him play well in either IW or Miami (he'll pick one or the other to focus on), then do okay on clay, treating it mainly as a warm up to defend his wimbledon title. i fully expect him to tank it at roland garros. lol.
