MB, don't bullshit. You know for a fact that if it was Urban doing this shit you would think it is inappropriate. The reason for that is because it is. Inviting in a complete stranger to stay at your house for the purpose of having your son play football for him is beyond creepy.

I really don't think I would. Obviously there's no way to find out. I have a problem with coaches breaking NCAA rules or hosing a kid by pulling his scholarship at the last second or cutting him for non-medical medical reasons. I don't have a problem with a coach working within NCAA rules to spend time with players to try and convince them to come here -- because make no mistake, that's all this was.
Were a smart idea that other schools should have done, and ended up doing, and totally legal under NCAA rules.
How would that get us in trouble? Unless he's making illegal contact with recruits, he's not breaking any rules. And if they change rules to make whatever Harbaugh is doing illegal -- then so be it. I don't think Harbaugh, with as much attention as he gets, would truly violate a major NCAA rule.

I find "pressing the line" ok when it comes to rules that don't necessarily impact either the school or the player being recruited negatively. Having high schools host camps for you that you attend around the country doesn't hurt players and doesn't harm the school. So pressing the line there is fine. The NCAA adapted and that's that. If, say, Harbaugh was skirting NCAA or University rules to let kids in who shouldn't be here -- then I have an issue with that.
I just don't understand why it would be inappropriate? I think Urban wants recruits just like any other coach does. Follow NCAA rules and go get your recruits, that's what Harbaugh is doing.
Hiring a recruit's brother is completely allowed by the NCAA but it hasn't stopped from you having your period all of that thread.
