Detroit Tigers Ongoing 2016 Thread

Pistons have a boat load of cash to keep all the young core around... I am hoping they sign a free agent for the bench that can lock down PG and SG while hitting open threes... and maybe upgrade the PF position. They have a potential championship starting 5 as is. but the bench is straight up trash.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them beat the Cavs though in the first round... they have beaten their ass 2 out of 3 meetings so far this year and match up really well with them.

I was not a fan of him at all, but Aron Baynes has been a pleasant surprise. He makes Jason Maxiell look like diarrhea dog shit.

KCP is the only Pistons player than can play legit on the ball defense... If Reggie Jackson ever started trying on the defensive end.. look out.. the nice thing about the Pistons is the entire core is under 25... plenty of time to figure out how to play championship level defense.

Anyhow....VMart played in a minor league game Saturday, hit a HR. Tigers are ''thinking'' of putting him in a regular game Tuesday. Problem will be that if he starts playing ''regular'' spring games, Detroit cannot post-date a DL stint as easily - if needed. You can only retro-active a DL so many games....i am thinking it is 7. But that is a guess.

BTW....I applied to be the Tiger's VMart-Boy. I'd be ready to run on the field to pick up any body parts (or VMart himself) that break or fly off of him as he runs the bases. My #1 responsibility is to protect fans and players on the first base side of the field, from flying VMart parts.
