You can pick multiple songs, just one at a time. What is the most "1980s" song of all time? My pick

For me who grew up in the 80’s...... a song from 2009 describes the 80’s better than any 80’s song. Bowling for Soups “1985” nails it.

Dude, "1985" was from ~2005, not 2009. And I think "1985" describes the mid-2000's better than the 1980's (though I never lived in that decade).

Now that I looked it up.... it was 2004 smart ass not 2005. And it describes the 80’s perfectly. And since I did live through those years I do know it better than you. Thank you very much.

Listen, asshole, I've had my good share of JD tonight. I suggest laying off until the morning, when I will have sobered up and be much more tolerable.

Capeche?

By “JD” are you talking about “Jewish Dick”? Then by all means recover my good man. Those uncircumcised dicks can tear an asshole up. Until tomorrow....

No, I was actually referring to Jack Daniels. Also, I've never sucked a "Jewish dick," though I have had a good amount of Christian dicks in and around my mouth that did happen to be uncircumcised:noidea:

From my perspective and how I lived the eighties...

Interesting. You OD' on heroin and had to be revived with shots of adrenaline directly to the heart too?

Not quite that extreme...more for lack of funds than lack of trying.
I feel ya bro. I'm still popping these Tylenol with Codeine tablets from that time I stuck up a Walgreen's in Ontario. If I could ever get a job, I'd graduate to the real stuff in no time....

You should give one a try. They are really cute. They have little tiny yamakas on the ends.

First a few runners up:

OR the seminal moment in music during the 80's:

But my personal choice:

The weird thing is for most of the 80's I listened to music from the 70's but to me this one always says "80's". I know I used it a lot in my Aaron Altherr posts but here it is

Just a quick observation, and correct me if I'm wrong because I often am---Does it seem like there were more women that did rock and roll in the 80's (as opposed to "pop" )? When I was thinking of songs from the 80's it seems like I was remembering a lot of women vocalists. Pat Benatar, Patti Smyth, Joan Jett, Heart, The Go-Gos.

I don't know if I know a single women vocalist you named. I actually can't think of a single woman in a rock band- except maybe The White Stripes
