Lackey was lacking last night, but hopefully Dempster won't be DUMPster tonight.

Tonight's Baltimore pitcher, 30 year old Scott Feldman, will be making his 121st MLB start. 845 1/3 innings pitched,
883hits allowed, 281 walks, 518 Ks. A career WHIP of 1.38. His season WHIP is lower, 1.13,but hopefully willbe closer to the career number when he heads to the showers.

Dempster will be making his 343 career start, 21st of this season. 115 2/3 innings this year with
114 hits allowed, 54 walks, 108 Ks, a 1.45 WHIP (negligibly higher than his career 1.43) and a season ERA negligibly lower than his career number. (4.28 vs 4.33) Stats for both pitchers from espn.go.com

GO RED SOX! :yahoo:

Scoring early is fun, isn't it?

We need to do it more often, don't we?

Where are the other Sox fans? Some of them must have things to say.

Never expect shutouts from Dempster.

Too early for Uehara, so who should we have warming up now?

What's your manager complaining about now? Good god, he cries a lot!

The call was late and much less clear than it should have been.

Umpires should never leave any doubt about their calls. Farrell
had every right to gripe about the needless delay.

Farrell gripes a lot.

He's the perfect coach for the whiniest fanbase in MLB.

As if there was any such thing as a whiner-free fan base!

My not knowing any personally doesn't mean there are no whiny Oriole fans.

Yes, there are.. The whine about being underappreciated in the AL East, they whine about the Nationals taking away season ticket holders. they whine about the Ravens getting more ink in the Baltimore Sun

And here in Boston Celtics fans complain about the Bruins getting more attention than Bill Russel's old team.

Some appear to think only racists can prefer hockey to basketball.

Such is life, whoever you root for.
