Jesus, I forgot about that guy. He was all over just because of the fact that he had that ridiculous beard and then he fell off the map the last 2 yrs. It'll be interesting to see what he can do no matter where he ends up

Feel the same about this guy as I do with Jurrjens. No reason not to take the risk.

I heard a rumor that the D-backs might try to get Joe Nathan from TX. If I were an AZ fan, I'd be much more hopeful about that than Brian Wilson. The rumor I read speculated that AZ might give up Kubel. As a Rangers fan, I think I'd be more interested in Pollock.

Where did you hear this? Id like Nathan but he'll probably cost too much.

Yeah, just depends what kind of contract he is looking for.....I would be hesitant if he wants a large guaranteed chunk of cash, but if it's a minor league deal, I say take a shot.....I would say entice him with incentives, but for whatever reason, we refuse to do incentive laden contracts, so we often can not land these flyer type of guys.....

That TX is prepared to deal Nathan has been all over the net and on MLB Network. AZ has been mentioned as a possible suitor in at least one article and maybe on TV. Makes sense for AZ to go after him, since they could use an established high caliber closer. TX has Jaquim Soria, so it makes some sense for them too.

Nathan would cost too much, and I would not want to give up Pollock. His defense alone justifies his value, and he can certainly improve on offense.

I agree with Sun. I don't want to trade Pollock and I doubt KT would trade a young OF for a 38 year old closer.

I could see that. On the other hand, a solid closer could make the difference in a tight pennant race.

We have more issues than finding a solid closer. We need another run producer because right now we are awful with RISP and those guys just don't grow on trees.

Be huge for you guys if Aaron Hill consistently hits and Parra shakes off his slump. Looks like Prado is showing signs of heating up. Montero hitting could also be huge.
