Fuck me!!!!

eh, Fowler is just a rotational guy to spell other people ... really not a great player. i'm assuming the rams felt they were thin along their line (injury?) and needed a warm body or they are trying to prevent getting thin in case of injury.

Dang.

This one definitely looks like a win/win. Rams going all-in on being the favorite.

Rams acquired DE Dante Fowler from the Jaguars in exchange for a 2019 third-round pick and 2020 fifth-round pick.

The odd man out of the Jags' defensive end rotation, Fowler will provide instant help for Wade Phillips' defense in Los Angeles. The No. 3 overall pick of the 2015 draft has made just one career start, but that could quickly change. Fowler registered two sacks on 165 snaps in Jacksonville this season. It's a nice addition for L.A., but there is no guarantee it's a truly impact one. Fowler will be a free agent at season's end.

Seems kinda pricey, but hey, if the Rams were already all-in why not I guess. People overpay for edge guys all the time in FA so if you're gonna juice a trade, do it for a QB, OT, or Edge.

yep, the Rams know they have a short window to try and win it all before they have to pay a fortune to Goff

Nice. Rams didn't really have anyone behind Ebukam, and I believe he only has 2 sacks on the season to match Fowler's 2.

Comp picks are gonna be a factor in several of these trades. Like Fowler is gonna be overpaid by someone. Golden Tate will probably get over 10M. So on and so forth.

I really like this trade for the Jags. They get a really good return for a guy they weren't even starting and were likely letting walk in free agency after the year. Plus the Jags were down a few picks from other recent trades so this helps with that.

Works for the Rams too. If Fowler plays well and stays, he's well worth a 3rd rounder (and the Rams would've been looking edge early in the draft anyway).

Hope we use it on Targets for Bortles
