It's a day late, but it's huge news.

We might have to eat 5 million this season and 14 million next season, but it was time to just cut out losses. It was clear that Uggla was never going to be a benefit to the team. He had lost his bat and never had a glove. There was no way we were going to trade him. And apparently he started to be a distraction in the club house.

He had to go.

Now we can go forward with a true 25 man roster instead of basically playing 24 handed. Pastornicky and Gosselin are both solid bench players, and Pastornicky has some versatility being able to play SS and OF along with 2B.

Now lets go out and get some bull pen help. Kimbrel and Shae Simmons can't do it all by themselves at the end of games.

I don't know what happened to the guy. It's like he was allergic to hitting the ball.

I don't know either. He seemed to always try hard, and I supported him for most of his tenure with the Braves, but this season has been his worst by far.

I mean, at least BJ has shown improvement this season.

I know. Outside of the 33 game hitting streak he had his first year in Atlanta, he has basically been wasted space. Thank God for Tommy La Stella this season.

MNLB Network says Braves are trying to move BJ now. I say good luck with that contract.

I wonder if us getting rid of B.J. would impact Justin's performance.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm not a fan of BJ's by any means, but if him leaving is going to turn Justin into a distraction, it might not be worth it.

But I don't think we're going to be able to find a buyer for BJ, and if we do, we're gonna have to eat a lot of the contract and get virtually nothing in return.

BJ has been hitting a bit better since being moved to leadoff.

Nice start to the second half. Always fun beating up on the Phillies. I wonder how many of those aging "stars" they are going to trade? Hopefully not too many. Looking forward to seeing them suck for years to come.

A man can only dream. I don't mean to sound racist towards Brandon Phillips, but Uggla has been the best second baseman in the league for the last five years

I was going to make fun of Amaro, but Wren did trade for Uggla and signed BJ Upton.

I guess I best not throw stones.

I knew you would come over and dance for me like a good little monkey if you saw the Uggla thread.

Almost too easy.
