Anybody know how many years he has left on his contract and what he is getting paid? The reason i am asking because is a pretty solid TE who could probably start on another team. With harbaugh loving to use more than 1 TE, i would hate to lose Walker in the future. Him and VD will have a good year this year i believe.

He signed a 6yr/5.25m contract in June of '08

same here, hes is a very solid number #2 TE, possibly a #1 on another team i would think.

His development has been stiffled by his circumstance, but if he could play consistantly in his upper range, then I would absolutely agree. I like his ball skills.

Walker would kill it if he were in GB's offense.

But yes having 2 great TEs(well one is good and the other is pro bowl good) is awesome against some defenses.... really dictates what we can do whether its pass or run...

Unfortunately, there's no way the 49ers will be able to keep him. I think he'll be a popular free agent in 2013

Especially if he gets as much attention as it is anticipated he'll get.
