Bears trim 5 from roster, team at 75

No big names yet. James Jones did not make San Diego. This guy just must not practice well. He really made a difference for the packers, I wonder if there is a spot for him here.

Yeah, I don't get what it is with James Jones. The guy has been productive at every stop that he was given a chance. Maybe he's just a prick... who knows?

he doesnt jump out on paper. He isnt fast at all but he is tough as nails. I appreciate all he did for us during both stops. No chance we make the playoffs last year without his production.

I think it may be time to cut bait with Marquis Wilson. Was kind of shocked to see them hang on to him.

Will be visiting the Bears 1st (per CBS)
Sweet!
Per Rotoworld:

Free agent OG Josh Sitton will visit the Bears.

If he leaves without a contract, his next visit will be with New Orleans. Green Bay's decision to move on from Sitton was a head-scratcher and now the division-rival Bears have a chance to hit the Packers where it hurts. The Bears are vulnerable at left guard with second-round rookie Cody Whitehair set to replace Matt Slauson. If he chooses the Bears, Sitton and Kyle Long would make a formidable duo at guard.

I like the idea of bringing in Sitton and having that duo of Sitton and Long at the G's for awhile. Not so sure about Whitehair at Center. After Grasu went down I didn't like what Cody did...granted he was thrown in there without any/much practice. Want to see what the Minny Center has left in the tank.
Bears claimed C Eric Kush from the Rams... if you have seen any of HBO's Hard Knocks you will know he's dumb as his tank top collection. SMH.

I think Whitehair will be a Pro Bowler, and I think he should be a starter, right now. Sitton is going into his 8th year, and coming off of two straight Pro Bowls and would be a great addition to any squad at the right price, but Whitehair is the immediate future, and I honestly would roll with the kid. He seems to have all the right attributes to being a solid LG for years to come. I really don't think it's a weak spot, per se.

Bears signed OG Josh Sitton, formerly of the Packers, to a three-year contract.

Bears signed K Connor Barth.
Still in shock about this one.

I thought Gould would be a cap casualty, but it was just performance. Two missed kicks last year then blowing two extra points in preseason, I guess it was time.

I liked the Barkley pickup, pretty sure some of us active at that time liked him out of USC. But pretty sure Shaw is gonna get a bigger shot next year.
