Numbers on Okert and Reynolds aren't worth comparing as he essentially isn't replacing either.

For the past 2 years Smith has done much, much better against righties than lefties, surprisingly.

But he hasn't been able to figure it out completely. When he did well against lefties two years ago, righties lit him up. I know we have a difference of opinion on Smith. Hope he does well now that he is with us.

Still 27 on the 25 after the trades, though. I am guessing they have time for Moore, so he likely wont be added today. I would expect Smith to be active, though...

Apparently Suarez has been sent down to become a starter again. No word on the other move. MLB app does not have the accurate active rosters (they still have Suarez and Mac on the roster, but no Smith or EA).

I am going to assume that Moore has not been activated yet.

Interesting. Pagan sits two games with an injury and Blanco goes on the dl. Hernandez is here to essentially replace both outfielders, in case Pagan's injury lingers.

Hernandez is here to try out for Blancos job for '17. It will be a competition between Hernandez and Slater, I think, with the edge going to Hernandez since (IMHO) Slater is a legit prospect and they don't want him up as a #4/#5 at this stage.

I was thinking more about short term. Pagan's shaky injury history probably makes them leery not having a healthy back up, who has similar tools, available.

I don't think they will bring up Slater this September. Williamson will be up. Parker, if he gets healthy. Maybe Ishikawa. The Giants won't bring up that many guys. I wonder if Blanco is done for the season or if he will be activated once he's eligible (which would be Sept. 5th).

There was a game I was watching, probably the weekend after the ASB, where Blanco was playing right field. He made a throw that looked awful and I clearly remembering one of Kuiper or Krukow making a comment that he looked injured with that throw. If the dude hasn't been right for over a month, why in the world did it take the team this long to put him on the disabled list? Considering he is listed as having a right shoulder impingement, he could have been dealing with this for months.
