I understand no RP is going to last forever without at some point giving up some runs. But did it have to against the Cubs and with a 3 run lead? It's not like Kimbrel was facing Bryant, Rizzo, and Baez out there. That's a AAA lineup for the most part the Cubs are putting out there. It should have been a 1-2-3 inning and see ya later.

Good day to be a Sox fan. Everything worked the way it was supposed to in the win today.

Just a note related to Rodon - he had 8 days rest prior to this start and was his old self again. With is next contract he's not likely to be paid for 30 starts in a season - it would be more like 22. So Rodon has injury history and he has durability concerns, but he is having a wonderful year on the mound.
