Byrd or Revis in Philly would concern me

I thought about Revis, I am hoping he goes to a contender like the 49ers or better yet the Patriots & then the Skids overpay for Talib.....

the ware situation is what makes this a special day for cowboy fans.
looks as if one way or another the cowboys want 8M for the current 12M.
kick Ware to the curb and watch the 8M go towards free agency.

Say we cut Ware .... gives us roughly 7 1/2 million to use in FA add that with the 1.6 we have now

Thats about 9 million we could use.

Now think about this..... We could actually fill Ware's role with Jared Allen. Same age gotta expect you will get about the same production from both (Allen 11.5 sacks last year but hasnt missed a game in years) (Ware has only missed 3) so basically the same production.
But I think we could get Allen for 4-5 million

Which would leave you 4-5 million to go after another vet.

Two Vets we could likely get with that. Melton who would allow us to go BPA in the draft

OR

If you are worried about Melton's health Steve Smth is about to be released ..... which would make us one of the best offenses in football. So if the defense still stinks atleast you know we have the fire power to hang with any team in the league

Pardon my french, but I would suck a dick for Jared Allen to be a Cowboy. As much as I love Ware, Allen brings more to the table. He gets a lot of pressures even when he isn't "sacking" the QB. He has a higher motor and would bring much needed leadership to this team.

I agree with you on Allen. Would hate to lose Ware ..... But he does need a pay cut.
and since we are no longer talking about dropping back in coverage.... Allen is better suited for the defense we run. IMO

Allen wants a stable Qb situation ... Which obviously we are stuck with Romo for a couple years so he gets that

In this scenario, would you draft Donald or one of the safety's?

Early on I was calling for DT in first S in the 2nd. I switched about 2 werks ago tovS in the 1st. As of now I still say S in the first unless someone up top drops in a crazy manner. I agree with twist BPA as long as the player is a need. If BPA is a QB I'd go 2nd BPA.

Here's to hoping Ware agrees to a straight pay cut and stays in Dallas. It would be great if we could keep Ware and still sign Allen and Melton.

Read today that Tuck might go back to NYG as he isn't getting many offers over $3M per year. Seems odd that is all he would get, but would you guys go $5M for Tuck?

and with Ware hitting the market Tuck's value wont go up .... it just went down
